The Irish Claddagh symbol—that of two hands gently holding a crowned heart—has been used for over 400 years to symbolize love, loyalty and friendship. It originated in a small Gaelic fishing community of the same name located in Galway. Every woman of Claddagh who was married was obliged to wear the Claddagh ring.

This 18" necklace interprets the Claddagh with gemstones that symbolize the same elements - love (Rose Quartz), loyalty (Lapis Lazuli)  and friendship (Chrysocolla), and comes with a description of the stones  and their qualities.
